How AI helped build this bus

A note for parents and teachers.

What the AI helpers did

  • They read Angela Abraham’s published pages and planned which pieces could become stops.
  • They wrote the signs, the questions and the lines the crew says. These are always separate from Angela’s writing.
  • They built the pages and checked that Angela’s words on the bus match her live pages exactly.
  • They checked the site for privacy and safety, and for how it reads on a phone.

What the AI helpers did not do

  • They did not write Angela’s pieces. Every piece shown as hers is copied word for word from her pages.
  • They do not run while a child rides. No AI is on the page. There is no chat.
  • They do not write for children. The bus asks questions. The child answers in their own words, on paper or out loud.

Gentler versions

Some of Angela’s pieces are dark or hard for younger readers. For a few of them, an AI helper may write an adapted version for a younger reading age. An adapted piece is always labelled, for example “Adapted for ages 9 to 11 from a piece by Angela Abraham”. Angela approves each one before it can appear. Angela’s original stays on her own page.

Who is responsible

Angela Abraham decides what is on the bus. The AI helpers work for her and for the children who ride.
